Special Needs
(Child and Adult)
The Special Needs Ministry is for anyone, any age, that may require special accommodations while fully participating in the life of the church. Our caring team of staff and volunteers create a safe space for everyone to belong, to become more like Jesus and to build God's kingdom together. Weekly programming includes worshiping, learning from the Bible, building friendships, praying and serving others. Additional activities are planned outside of Sunday mornings to support individuals with special needs and their families throughout the year.
Services
Sundays @ 9 am | in-person programming for kids
Sundays @ 11 am | in-person programming for kids, teens and adults
Sundays @ 11 am | adult zoom (hybrid) programming
For the safety of each child, adult, and volunteer, we ask that you complete an annual medical form before participating.
Additional support
1:1 Buddy Program
The 1:1 Buddy Program allows individuals, who are able and willing, to participate in the typical, age-appropriate kid and student ministry services alongside a trained adult or high school volunteer during weekend services. A buddy may be appropriate if your child:
- Has an aid at school or mainstreams most of their school day
- Is able to actively participate with peers while receiving additional support for a particular social/environmental behavior
- Has physical limitations where an extra hand would allow for a safer and more successful experience
Sensory Rooms
Sometimes, students just need a little break. Each of our classrooms has a sensory space available for this purpose. Our high support room includes a padded sensory space. Our teen room has a ball pit and other sensory items.
Monthly Respite Nights
Respite Nights are a time for students and volunteers to connect and have fun, while allowing parents and caregivers a night to rest, shop, read, connect with friends, and engage in other activities! Respite nights are three hours in length and are first offered to students who attend our weekly Sunday services or have a buddy. If interested in attending, please contact our special needs director, Austin.
special events
Annual Talent Show

Conferences and Community Outreach
We partner with local agencies, organizations and community resources so families are aware of the support that is available to them. One of our featured events is the Parent and Caregiver Empowerment Conference presented by the team at Special Needs Living Magazine.
Serve in Special Needs
We are always praying and seeking people to serve in the Special Needs Ministry. Training is provided and no previous experience is required.
