(Child and Adult)
Our Special Needs Ministry is a Christ-centered environment with a person-centered emphasis that enables everyone to focus on spiritual growth. We want everyone to have the opportunity to grow to be like Jesus. Our Special Needs Ministry is for anyone, regardless of age, that may require any special accommodations while participating in the life of WRCC. We strive each week to reveal God and the love of Christ to everyone!
- The mission: To connect EVERY life to Jesus.
- Our Desire: To partner with families in loving their family member with special needs and helping them all have the ability to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
We want to help
This ministry is designed to help children and adults with special needs have an opportunity to grow in their Christian faith as fully participating members in their church. The ministry aims to support those with special needs in all aspects of their spiritual growth including: worshiping, learning about Scripture, experiencing fellowship, praying and serving others. These goals are accomplished by intentional and appropriate teachings, activities, and lessons.
Thursdays 6:30pm, Sundays 9:00 and 10:45am
We have services for both youth (ages 0-17) and adults (ages 18+). During each service time the children and adults will be participating in a group Bible lesson or story, scripture reading, activities or crafts, snack, worship, and prayer. Our adults partake in the Lord’s Supper each week, there is not an adult class Sundays at 9:00. Both youth and adults are encouraged to worship with their typical peers each week; noise-cancelling headphones are available for those who prefer.
For the safety of each child, adult, and volunteer we ask that you complete an annual medical form before participating. You can return this completed form to Brooke Garcia.
Serve in Special Needs
We are always praying and seeking people to serve in the Special Needs Ministry. Training is provided and no previous experience is required.
